Join the Club!

Why join a club?

Get to know others, help us maintain the trails we all love, be part of advocacy for the trails, and if you want some insurance for riding, you can do that too!

Sometimes we run events that are free for club members, like bike maintenance sessions. It also means you can hire equipment, or even hire the depot for an awesome bike party venue - these are privileges for members only!

Clubs are all runs by volunteers and having more active club members makes it easier to get stuff done. It also helps us advocate for future trail building grants etc. If you want to help with track maintenance, please register for a non-riding membership with AusCycling (whether or not you want to pay club fees) so that you are covered during track maintenance.

You can buy membership that allow you to compete in races, or just go for a recreational ride. Some memberships include insurance, some don't.

AusCycling

AusCycling is the national cycling body that the Forrest MTB & Cycling Club is registered with. You need to register with AusCycling first, and then nominate our club as your club. The AusCycling membership can vary based on which type of membership you select, the club fee (which actually goes to the club) is $20.

There are heaps of different types of memberships you can view here.

If you want to join the club but don’t want AusCycling insurance for riding, you could join with a “non-riding” AusCycling membership - which is free! When joining AusCycling you can nominate a club, Forrest Mountain Bike and Cycling Club, and pay our membership fee - $20 - which goes directly to supporting our club.
