Forrest MTB Revitalisation Project – Stage One Update

Update from Forest Fire Management Victoria

Good news on plans for a mountain bike skills park at Forrest – the wheels are in motion!

The detailed design process is underway ahead of construction starting next year.

The project is part of a $2.32 million upgrade and expansion of Forrest’s mountain bike trail network that we’re delivering with Colac Otway Shire Council.

The new skills park will feature three main components:

• An asphalt pump track
• Two jump lines
• A set of three skill lines

The skills park will be located within the Forrest Trailhead precinct that is a gateway to the southern system of the town’s mountain bike trail network.

The upgrade of Forrest’s mountain bike trail network is funded by $2.07 million from the Victorian Government and $250,000 from Colac Otway Shire Council.
